  • Who Funds the Program?
    The program is funded by the Employment Training Tax paid by California employers.
  • Can a Contractor concurrently enroll a trainee who is currently enrolled in another ETP contract?
    Yes, ETP allows for concurrent enrollment only when a trainee is enrolled in two differently funded contracts (Core funded and Alternative funded contracts).
  • What is the paperwork requirement for MEC training projects?
    Utilize ETP Sign-in Sheets (known as Rosters) to document all training-related activities.
  • If company decides to withdraw from training , what is its responsibility?"
    A company may cancel training any time with no obligation to the State or the MEC contractor. The spots reserved for your facility will be released to the next company.
  • How will company be reimbursed for training cost?
    ETP training contract is performance -based. A Company may offset training cost, icluding in house trainers and/or outside vendors locate in Califronia. A Company earned funds after a trainee completes training an employment Retention 90 days. Trainees must be employed at least 35 hours per week.
  • What is MEC contract?
    Multiple Employer Contract (MEC) is consortium training with up to 15-20 participating companies.
